I found your blog a few days ago on Technorati and have been reading it over the past few days. I would disagree that Avid is still king. FCP is making it's way into the stronghold of a lot of post houses ( like you mentioned ). The fact that Avid is winning awards is a marketing thing as far as I'm concerned. Just wanted to say HI. Producers are getting the raw end of the stick as well, some friends of mine got the axe this week. The buisness is all heading west. The taxes are way to high for films and post is going under as well. There have been over a dozen post houses that have shut their doors in the last 6 months.
